Ok let me put up a disclaimer: everything I am about to say only pertains to me. these are things I’m not down with. More power to you if you are into these things. They’re just not my steez.
There really aren’t that many things on my ‘do not let happen’ list. A few of them are
* don’t be a smug asshole. pregnant chicks tend to become really entitled and all ‘I am wise and better than you’ just because someones sperm got down with their egg. No bueno. Being pregnant is awesome. Being smug is not.
*I will not be putting my hands together in the shape of a heart on my belly. That shit is cheeeeesie.
*I used to be anti maternity photos. Now I’m just not into shitty maternity photos.
I don’t fear the hands on the belly as long as it’s not real hand to belly contact. Over the shirt belly contact I think is ok. It’s like strangers wanting to see your engagement ring. It’s exciting. Baby harvesting is a really incredible time! I want to share it.
Unsolicited advice is odd but must be taken with a grain of salt. You’ve got to be graceful and just give it a “mmkay, thanks!” and keep it pushing. I haven’t received too much of it yet. I am constantly asking people about their experiences so I’m really into it. So far.
I’m not pregnant enough to be have totally gone back on my previous pregnant judgements but I’m sure there will be time for that. I also haven’t had any annoying pregnant haps yet. Knock on wood, but hopefully there won’t be.
I told my boss and my bosses boss and those are the only two work peeps that know. I don’t plan on making some grand announcement. I’m sure people will know when they know.
